WiFi Tracker is a WiFi scanner that allows you to check the status of wireless networks around you.

A WiFi scanner uses GPS and WiFi together to locate Wi-Fi hotspots, and then saves their location to a train, which can be exported to Google Earth, imported to Kismet, or used for real-time web uploads!
If you are driving in your car, you can easily overlook a lot of hotspots with this application because it is capable of logging the position of thousands of access points without crashing and without posting duplicates.
It can be used to survey large areas as part of a larger security inspection (such as checking for relaxed Wi-Fi access points). You can also do a perambulation or a run around a point and the scanner will still work without consuming a lot of battery power while using it
For example, you could take a drive around your megacity center and see the state of access points (open, secured, insecure, etc.) if you just have a floating interest in seeing what's out there.
If you prefer to manipulate the data in a spreadsheet program (such as Excel, OpenOffice/LibreOffice), you may use the CSV import. If you prefer to visualize access points, you may use the KML import.
Moreover, WiFi Tracker knows who made each access point it has installed, so it can show the most popular access points made by Netgear, D-Link, 3Com, Apple, Linksys, and so on.
WiFi Tracker will use the advanced resolution data from Torque to compound GPS data automatically if you have a high-resolution device (QStarz 818XT) connected to that app.
The Torque app must also be running on the device.
